Gifts Galore

For owner Kelly Brannock, opening home and gift boutique Haven Grey in Loveland was a no-brainer.

Heart of the Matter

For most, opening a restaurant requires a giant leap of faith. The location, the concept, the service, the food—it’s a recipe requiring the kind of preternatural timing and instinct even the most seasoned restauranteurs can get wrong—and often do. But for Tony Ricci and his wife, Debra, theirs wasn’t just a leap of faith; it was an act of one.

It’s That Time Again

I can’t believe Christmas is almost here again. Last year, to be honest, the holiday season wiped me out—I’m not just talking financially, I’m talking wrapping-presents-at-3:30-a.m.-Christmas-Eve-staring-into-my-pantry-wondering-if-an-unopened-jar-of-cinnamon-could-work-as-a-stocking-stuffer kind of wiped out. This year, I’m determined to stay on top of things—that’s why I was very excited to feature Haven Grey in our gift guide. This boutique nestled in downtown Loveland … Continued

Snow Day

There’s nothing quite like the thrill of skiing, and there’s no better authority on the subject than Jonathan Southworth and Chris Andersen of Loveland’s own Vertical Drop. The shop is always stocked with the latest amazing gear, and they boast a seriously solid repair shop—they know their product, and they know first-hand what will fit you best, no matter your ability…

NEST’s Dancing With the Stars

Talk about smooth moves—Oct. 25 saw local celebrities and community members tripping the light fantastic to benefit NEST Community Learning Center. Contestants included Loveland’s Superintendent Dr. Amy Crouse, Police Chief Sean Rahe and Chamber President CeeCee Collins. In the end, Channel 9 Meteorologist Jennifer Ketchmark took home the mirror-ball trophy with a perfect score. The real winner? The kids.

Ready, Set, Glam!

Like it or not (we love it!) we’re knee-deep in the holidays. And while you can put the question of how to dress your turkey behind you, ahead of you lies the conundrum of how to dress yourself and get holiday-ready for all the parties, events and get-togethers happening throughout December and into the new year.

If You Build It, They Will Come

How do you describe a company whose owner doesn’t solicit publicity, least of all in a public forum like this?

Thank You, Loveland

It’s very fitting that our “Thankful” issue happens to coincide with our one-year anniversary. What a year it’s been! I was already in love with my hometown, but over the past 12 months publishing this magazine, I have come to grasp how amazing this place really is. Each issue, we worked to uncover stories of people who took chances and followed their passion. People who helped better their community. Those who inspired and taught others. … Continued
